An exercise as basic as the sorting of shapes and colours in space, the essence of plastic arts, that is the fundamental pillar of values upon which Cristina Silvan (Pamplona, 1975) supports her work. We find ourselves before a solid production, where each work impacts the viewer from the very moment we pose our look onto it. However, the experience must go beyond a first glance. As we get closer and walk around it, nuances start revealing themselves, surprises show up, arousing our interest. The apparent flatness of the shapes and colours manifests then a certain relief, which is achieved through resources, such as assembly, the use of ranges or the different directions of the brushstroke. This is definitely not a work limited to the exploration of space, but also of time. Both of them, third and fourth dimensions, result into another aspect: movement.
